While it is true that females tend to use verbal bullying while males tend toward more aggressive and physical bullying tactics. Bullying is dangerous and needs to be stopped no matter where it takes place and by whom. The affects of bullying include long lasting mental problems, suicides, and even school rampages and shootings.

The costs of bullying includes but is not limited to the lives and emotional well being of our children as well as the high costs of jails and courts that process the effects of bullying and the bullies themselves.

Part of the problem is knowing the correct definition of bullying and having the ability to convey that meaning and the effects of bullying to those who will best benefit from that knowledge.
